Brenda Waugh has been invited to speak and conduct workshops with mediation programs and universities throughout the United States. She has conducted workshops for training mediators in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania and has spoken regarding mediation and restorative justice ranging from the University of Massachusetts to Florida State University. She also presented workshops or presented papers at conferences sponsored by the Association for Conflict Resolution, Restorative Justice and the Child Welfare League of America.
Ms. Waugh employed interactive tools to present materials in multiple media related to:
- How to employ multiple styles of mediation to maximize results.
- How the principles of restorative justice may be applied in multiple contexts to improve outcomes in conflict resolution.
- How to address problems presented in the mediation of conflicts involving domestic violence.
- How to practice law in a caring, peaceful and holistic practice.
